A little sugar and lots of Spice – it’s Gingerbread day

Sugar, spice and everything nice, gather the family round to bake, a gingerbread house we will make! Put on your aprons and chefs hats too, we have some recipes, just for you.  Place the icing by your side and decorate, with bakers eyes. With our recipes you can make, enough for one or a group of eight. Children can try to mix and roll too, today is for everyone and not just you.

I love these gingerbread snowflake cookies – they’re perfect for this time of year and are a perfectly adequate representation of just how cold it is outside! I’ve taken this recipe and decorating ideas from BuzzFeed’s 30 adorable treats to make when it snows. I’m not so sure it will snow here, but still, we can definitely bake!

This cupcake sounds so nice and the picture (almost) had me trying to eat it off my screen, although with a little imagination  I could definitely taste it. So, I may have to admit that my gingerbread house decorating skills aren’t quite up to this task and it’s definitely not something I’d want to commit too for a dinner party, but it does look amazing with all those little details! So, I may not be the world’s biggest coffee fan (or a coffee fan at all) but I have to admit this does actually sound quite nice. This recipe from Dishing up The Dirt, is definitely a winter warmer, with some rave reviews and can be yours in just ten minutes – perfect for that quick coffee fix.
